Change & Transition Strategy Consultation

Change and transition is an inevitable part of the human experience. Unknowns that emerge during times of change often create feelings of anxiety and frustration as well as excitement and anticipation.

As a Change & Transition Strategist I work with clients to navigate through times of uncertainty. The focus is to become increasingly skillful in responding to change, moving from reaction to responsive choice.

What can a Strategist assist me with?

A Strategist works with you to identify the possible. The approach takes a path of inquiry that leads individuals toward values based decision-making. Scenarios that have led clients to work with me are reflected in the following:

  • I don’t feel like my authentic self at work. I feel I need a change but I don’t know whether it is an external or internal change that I am seeking.

  • I am contemplating retirement. I want to make the transition however I feel anxious about how I will find purpose once I move beyond my career centred life.

  • My friendships are changing. I am curious to understand why.

  • I feel like my life is imbalanced and that I am not spending my time on what matters to me.

What should I expect during a Change & Transition strategy session?

Each session is approximately an hour. During our time together we will utilize inquiry to explore the inner and outer influences impacting the change or transition you want to work through. This inquiry is designed to lead you toward identifying what really matters to you. I will work with you as an ally and an advocate. Together we will identify values that are most important to you. Values identification will lead to exploration of the choices available to you as you move through a transition. These choices will inform development of a plan we identify together and the steps required for implementation.

How many sessions will I need?

Each individual’s needs are different as is the nature of the change one is working through. I have had the experience of a client who implemented a plan after four sessions and another that progressed through a dozen sessions. I recommend committing to four sessions as this seems to be the minimum to see results. With that said, the choice of whether to continue is always available.
